Natural Hair: LOC Method | Beauty

With cold weather being in full effect, it is very important we make sure our tresses stay moisturized. I wanted to share with you all how I do the LOC method in my hair. For those that are transitioning or have been natural for some time, you may or may not know what I am talking about when I say LOC. L-leave in conditioner O-oil C-cream based product. This method is the ultimate way to retain moisture no matter what climate you’re in.

The products I used for the LOC method after co-washing my hair:

I section my hair into 4 vertical rows and then I section them off with my fingers. With each Section I grab a dime size of each product one by one and finger comb the strands and I then twist into a pin curl with a bobby pin. This is done after I washed my hair with conditioner only, also known as Co-Wash. Now you can wear this as a style, or you can wear this and wrap your hair with satin scarf and go to bed. You can air dry and then take it down, or you can even sit under a dryer. I barely left the house all weekend so I left my hair alone.

Here are pictures of what it looks like. Please excuse the whiteness it is from the products I used, of course. Sidenote: Bobby Pins are optional, if your hair is long enough you may not need them.

What are some products that you use in your hair for the L.O.C. method?

As always thanks for reading!
