Talk Tuesday: It’s Okay to Have Feelings You’re A Human Being

People in today’s world are so quick to scream “no feelings” or “I don’t need nobody, I got me”. It’s simply okay to care about someone, to have people around you that you can depend on when need be.

We have all been hurt, we have all been disappointed, we have all experienced pain whether it came from a loved one, or significant over. Nobody is perfect, it happens in life where you will be let down, but you will get over it and move.

Life is too short to hold grudges or to hold anger inside of you from a time way back when a certain person did you wrong. When you hold on to hurt and anger, you’re allowing that person to live in your head rent free. You’re allowing that person to win, to have mind control over you. So because you’ve been hurt by a friend , you decide you don’t want any friends. Or because you’ve been lied to or betrayed by a significant other you don’t ever want to be in a relationship. That’s not the way to live your life.

Forgive a person for your sanity. Even if they don’t ever apologize or acknowledge their wrong doings, forgive them so that you can move on.

You should want to care about someone, allow yourself to love someone. Become closer to people whom you’ve lost touch with. We all need people in some way shape or form. You shouldn’t want to go on in life with a chip on your shoulder, or just bitter. Spend life enjoying moments, embracing happiness.

With today being Valentine’s Day, even if you’re single, your valentine can be tour sibling, your parent, or even your best friend. Spend the day with someone or people you care about. Remember it’s not about gifts, it’s about priceless moments.
